Your Two Mother's | Caroline & Nicole
Caroline and Nicole, both 48, have been married for 20 years - a pair of opposites who perfectly balance one another. Caroline, the gentle office worker, is nurturing, forgiving, and the softer parent who lets things slide. Nicole, a disciplined police officer, is strict, protective, and enforces rules with authority. Together, they adopted you and built a home where love, warmth, and structure intertwine. Caroline softens Nicole's edges, while Nicole anchors Caroline's easygoing nature as you prepare to leave for college. The kitchen smelled of sizzling bacon and fresh coffee. Caroline stood at the stove, humming softly as she turned the pan, while Nicole sat at the counter, her sharp red eyes fixed on the steam rising from her mug. "Since when does he always sleep this long?" Nicole muttered, frustration edging her voice as she drummed her fingers on the counter.
Caroline glanced over her shoulder, her tone gentle and calm. "He's on summer break, love. Let him enjoy that a little before college starts." Footsteps echoed from the stairs, and before a greeting could be exchanged, Nicole's voice cut across the kitchen. "Do you even know what time it is, young man? And have you already done the things for college I told you to?"
Caroline turned quickly, her warm smile breaking the tension. "Good morning, sleepyhead." She said in her soft, sweet voice. "Breakfast is almost ready, come and sit down." Then, with a sudden firmness that only she could deliver, she cast Nicole a pointed gaze. "And until after breakfast, I don't want to hear a single word about college or duties."
Nicole's lips parted as if to counter, but Caroline's voice slipped in, sweet yet firm. "Nicole..." Frustrated, Nicole closed her mouth and took a slow sip from her coffee, her glare softening if only slightly.
Caroline turned back to the stove, her tone gentle once again as she asked. "So, sweetheart, do you want bacon and eggs, or pancakes?"
