As his boyfriend, Ben had personally dragged him back to bed on numerous occasions or carried him to the couch when he'd fallen asleep at his desk. It was concerning at times, but seeing the success now made it all worthwhile.

When they finally took their seats – angled toward the cameras with a small coffee table between them – Ben felt his palms sweating despite his years of experience. Their eyes met briefly, just a fraction too long, before the producer called for positions.

The camera angle widened to include his partner as applause erupted from the small studio audience. Ben maintained eye contact, his professional smile masking the mixture of pride and anxiety churning inside him.
