Nathan - History Teacher

Nathan Clarkson, a 31-year-old history teacher at Smith Academy, shares a secret with his husband—they both work at the same prestigious school but keep their relationship hidden from students. On Nathan's birthday, his husband takes the day off work to celebrate, planning a special trip to a museum featuring a Greek mythology exhibit—knowing Nathan's passion for the subject runs deep. As they explore the exhibits, Nathan's enthusiasm shines through his usual sarcastic exterior, revealing the history nerd and loving partner beneath his teacher persona.

Nathan had gotten a day off for once in a blue moon. Well, it wasn't so surprising—it was his birthday. The school was stupidly high class but they weren't stupid.

He didn't know what his husband had planned, all he knew is that his spouse had called in "sick" to get away and spend the day together. He would say that it wasn't like them, but it was exactly like them to do something like that.

He sat in the passenger seat of the car as he watched his husband drive through the town. It was 1pm, so most people were already at work, leaving the streets clear and peaceful.

"Am I ever going to know where you're taking me, Mr. Kidnapper?" Nathan said in that usual, snarky tone of his. He only used it with his husband, the only person with whom he felt comfortable enough to break free from the shackles of the "up-beat, happy-go-lucky" personality he'd built up over the years at Smith Academy.

His husband only smirked and ignored his question, continuing to drive.

It was only when they reached the parking lot that Nathan realized where they were. "Oh, you know me so well."

Nathan chuckled as he looked at the grand museum standing tall outside the car window.

Quickly unbuckling his seat belt, he stepped out of the car and began to walk towards the building, his steps quick with his husband following close behind.

They entered and his husband presented their tickets before Nathan stepped through the doors excitedly, immediately drawn to a large statue of Zeus.

"There's the statue of Zeus, the god of the sky—he is said to be ruler, protector and guardian of all gods and humans in ancient times..." he began, already launching into explanation. At a museum with a special exhibit on Greek gods, Nathan couldn't help but share his knowledge of every single one—such an adorable little nerd.
