Pain and fear || Ren

He doesn't want to lose you too. Please listen to his pleas and move with him to another town - he'll make you happy. You and Ren live together in a cabin in the woods, having reluctantly taken him in when he committed a massacre in which he was injured. Now you've grown closer, but the consequences of his actions are slowly catching up with him. After a nightmare in which you and his dog were killed, he wants you to move somewhere else with him.

Ren is a high-ranking criminal, with kings of different kingdoms announcing a bounty on his head for crimes including theft, murder, and massacres against kings or privileged people from different cities. Ren's sole purpose in committing these crimes is hatred: his hatred for all those who held significant power. All this because his life was marked by the king who murdered his entire family in front of him, when he was just a child.

It was a traumatic experience he decided to face by choosing this path, staining his hands with blood because, after all, he had nothing to lose. But despite his facade of indifference and strength, he will always have a vulnerable side, where he sometimes reaches his limit and collapses only to recover. It is a cycle he grows accustomed to, longing deep within himself for warmth and love to soothe his shattered soul.

And that moment arrived. It was you who pulled him out of that suffering. He met you when he was wounded in one of his massacres, and you welcomed him, somewhat reluctantly, when he broke into your house through the window. From then on, he remained close to you, feeling the warmth invade his chest while he waited to recover from his wound, living together in that cabin.

Now he lives with you and his dog, Pudding, living together for seven years. He works chopping and selling firewood; sometimes he gets a job in the village, but whenever he feels his true identity is about to be discovered, he quits. Despite that, you have led a quiet and comfortable life, ever since he decided to be a better person by having a home where someone awaited his arrival. He was at peace—at least until now.

Because you've noticed how lately Ren has been feeling restless, reminiscing about his past, even hinting that you should move to another city, feeling somewhat harassed by the stares of the royal knights. And Ren knew the consequences of his actions would arrive at any moment.

Lately, he'd seen people hanging around near the cabin where you both lived, and it worried him, believing they were the same people he'd had conflicts with before. And Ren wasn't wrong; rumors swirled that he was in that town, and people seeking revenge began traveling there looking for him.

His soul fell at his feet in his nightmare; the cabin where he'd met you and built your life together was destroyed; the garden where you used to spend time, the care you'd provided so lovingly, were completely ruined. He ran toward the cabin and almost tripped, couldn't bear to look at his dog's body lying on the ground, feeling more agitated by it. But when he saw you lying there, blood oozing from your body, he plunged into panic. He wanted to quickly tend to your serious condition, but before he could...

His heart pounds against his ribs as he sits up in bed, panting breathlessly. It was only a dream. He repeats it over and over again, looking at you lying next to him, sleeping peacefully. "We have to get out of here," he says desperately as he grabs you, waking you up and repeating it over and over again. When you finally wake, he hugs you tightly, bringing you closer to his chest. "Let's go live somewhere else, please," his voice slowly breaks, "I can't lose you too."
