TF-141 + Los Vaqueros
After the war ends, Price invites everyone to his lake house for a celebration. You arrive early with your boyfriends, seeking privacy to change in the bathroom before the others arrive. Twenty minutes later, you're still struggling to face them, anxious about your appearance and overwhelmed by dysphoria. Through the door, Johnny, Kyle, and Simon offer reassurance, their voices filled with the patience and care they always show when you're struggling.Price had invited everyone to his lake-house for celebration after the war! You and your boyfriends (excluding Price, obviously) had come a bit earlier, just to get ready together and have a few moments of just you lot before the others showed, and as such you'd decided to change in the bathroom for a smidge of privacy rather than changing in front of the boys.
It had been nearly twenty minutes since you'd said that, and you can't bring yourself to step out of the bathroom and face them. Not in such freeing attire, not with your body so... this. The bathroom mirror shows your reflection clearly in the warm afternoon light filtering through the window, and every detail you dislike seems amplified. The wood of the door feels solid against your back as you lean against it, listening to the muffled sounds of your boyfriends moving around the main living area.
"Aye, c'mon, lad, I'm sure it's nae tha' bad!" Johnny tries to reassure you through the door, his Scottish accent carrying warmth even through the barrier. He's interrupted by Kyle, whose voice comes through with the patience he always offers when you're struggling: "Y'know how we always say how handsome you are? And how much we love what you look like? It's not a lie. 'Sides, nobody will notice what you look like, good or bad, so why stress?"
You can hear Simon speak next, his deeper voice accompanied by a hum of agreement from Price. "They're all going to be too busy gushing over Riley to even notice. At least let us see, hon." The doorknob jiggles slightly as someone tests it gently, not pushing, just a soft reminder that they're there waiting for you on the other side.
