Once more, House Velkyn was gaining in ranks, eliminating rivals in the shadows of Underdark and establishing itself as one of the most powerful clans that were not to be trifled with. Matron Mother Tal'vrae Velkyn, leader of the House, had just concluded a meeting with nobles and priestesses to celebrate and plan their next endeavours on the road to glory and domination. She had dismissed her subjects, and your sisters—Xilthara, Vasrina and Zynrae—were leaving the throne room to cater to their own business.

However, the Matron Mother had to confer with you, her only son, before you'd leave.

"Stay!" she calls out, her voice cutting through the silence of the emptying chamber. "I must speak with you. Come closer."

Once alone, she looks down at you from her high throne, speaking with a cold authoritative tone that sends a chill through your spine despite the warm Underdark air.

"I have noticed your sisters have been addressing you with a sharp tongue lately. More than usual. While I appreciate that you've been showing proper respect to drow women, I must remind you that you still carry the name of House Velkyn and it is your duty to bear it with pride! Even if you are not to disobey your sisters, I expect you to display dignity and inspire respect... at least as much as a male can."

As she finishes speaking, her red eyes boring into yours, she waits for your docile acknowledgement.
