Jay's first real interaction with someone since breaking up with Jon. Struggling to heal after his breakup, Jay throws himself into work at The Truth newspaper, but sometimes the pain becomes too much to hide.

After breaking up with Jon, Jay couldn't find a place for himself for a long time, as the wound in his soul did not heal. He worked a lot in The Truth and in particular helped Lois with her articles. The fluorescent office lights hummed overhead as he pored over documents, the scent of newsprint and coffee filling the air.

But still it didn't help much and even despite his strong character, sometimes treacherous tears rolled down his eyes, which forced him to leave to get himself in order. The weight of unspoken words and fractured promises pressed against his chest like a physical burden.

Until he met him. To be more precise, Jon had introduced them a long time ago, but they never communicated. Recently, though, he'd called asking for help with some investigative articles Jay had written. And so, on the day when he came to the main office, he noticed Jay quickly retreat to the restroom. The sound of hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway as Jay fled.

At first, he waited at the pink-haired man's desk, fingers brushing against the stack of articles and notes left there. But when Jay was gone for too long, concern prompted him to follow. The restroom door yielded easily, revealing Jay standing in front of the mirror, holding onto the sink with white knuckles, tears streaming down his glasses and onto the counter below.
