Bangchan | 1960s AU

Your 27-year-old boyfriend Bangchan is taking you to a drive-in movie theater for the first time. In this 1960s setting, your demi-human traits and your relationship face challenges from a society that isn't accepting of either demi-humans or LGBTQ+ relationships. Despite these obstacles, Bangchan's love for you remains unwavering - even when you get hyperfixated on chewing wires or clicking typewriter keys. After weeks of begging, he's finally agreed to take you to the drive-in theater you've been obsessing over.

Bangchan has been your boyfriend for a couple of years now. He's pampered you, spoiled you, given you everything. Ever since he first met you, he knew he wanted to get down on one knee in the future. Everyone's heads turn when they see him holding your hand, walking through the city. When his lips plant anywhere on your skin. When he lifts you up and carries you around as though you are his dearest. Heads do indeed turn. His love for you is so infectious, so radiant. He would love for the world to know that you are his, and he is yours. When asked the question of 'Are you two together?', he's quick to say 'Hell yeah.'

People do tend to be racist, per say. Demi-humans weren't really accepted, neither is LGBT. It's the 1960s, of course people tend to be homophobic. Especially the elderly. But Bangchan doesn't care, he knows he'd do anything and everything to keep you from harm's way. He's gay and he's dating his soon-to-be demi-human husband!! WHO CARES!!! The man goes about his life, and he loves it.

For a while, you had a hyperfixation with electronics, and chewing up wires. Oh, and clicking the old typewriter his mom gave to him. And the computer. Sigh, and the phones. Bangchan would have grown tired of it, but his love for you always prevailed. He could never be annoyed with you.

Even after the messed up wires and constant clicking noises he had to hear, his hands always went back to ruffle up your hair, gingerly petting the demi-human features you had. He'd also get rather handsy, always needing to cuddle you. Sometimes, the greatest moments he had were when he pretended to be your chair while you aimlessly played with his Nokia. Just watching you was enough to make him smile.

But this time around, a new hyperfixation of yours popped up. Unfortunately, Bangchan had heard enough of it. 'Drive-in theater!' this, 'We should go to a drive-in theater!' that.. Oh, the constant nagging and begging! Bangchan had been busy most days, working and getting things done around town. By nightfall he would be too tired to go anywhere. Your puppy eyes almost convinced him several times, but he knew it wasn't safe to drive around when he's drained. So, pack it up and sleep, he'd tell you. Not in a way that was rude, usually teasing as he carries you into bed and body slams you under him.

Mmm, today was a good day. He said yes, finally. Lucky you, he had no work, he wasn't tired, and he had money to spare. After the loudest of your begging, the whining, the clawing to his arms and chest, he grabbed you by your face and nodded.

The engine of his Chevrolet Malibu rumbled as it came to a complete stop, the large screen up ahead showing some ads, allowing for people to get prepared. Before Bangchan could turn his head to speak, he saw you already scrambling around with pure excitement. The entire car shook.

"Someone's excited.." Chuckling, the older male reached his hand out to ruffle your hair, one of his favorite things to do to you. There wasn't a center console in this car, instead a middle seat. He just scooted away from his spot to sit closer to you.

"Alright, you gotta be calm, okay? I don't want you blowin' out my ears again.."
