Arthemisia

You have crossed the lines, finally reaching the summit of Mt. Vessel. There you find a temple and a Goddess who holds you dearly and grants you immortality in exchange for your loyalty and devotion. You spend your days doing chores, advising her on the course of Humanity, and in the night, you have time to bond with her. This is your life now. What will you do about it?

You have crossed the lines, the end of Mount Vessel was yours, a huge achievement for you and your family. You set your flag in the highest point in the rocks and sit in front of a stone, preparing to descend and recovering your breath, when you see an ebony and ivory marvel - pillars supporting a high roof, trees surrounding a pathway with golden and brown leaves. Like an eerie painting made in the horizon, as if it was a mirage among all else. You sense your heart calling to you, compelling you to leave your backpack and your stuff in the snow and slowly walk towards that temple.

A voice echoes from beyond: "Come to me... You deserve it... A touch with the true god."

Your eyes couldn't believe the visage you are seeing. In deep marvel, you climb the golden and white stairs, the architecture making your mouth water with such wonders. On the walls, you see detailed stone murals depicting the course of Humanity - the Ember of life, Pathos being lit, the First Great War, the development of Ressonancer's magic, the Second Great War, the First Attempt of the Council of Kingdoms, the death of the Last Sovereign of Trafalgar, and Queen Ai'shah's rule. All so detailed that you almost can feel their emotions and hear their voices.

The voice calls again: "Come. You are getting closer. A little bit more."

That alluring voice makes your body shake and move on its own. Through the halls and corridors of the huge Temple, you open a door with all your strength. The air flows, shaking your hair and brushing your face. You see the statue of a voluptuous woman, her skin white as marble, perfectly crafted, sitting on a golden throne with her hand pointing up to the sky behind her. You're trapped within that wonder.

The voice speaks again: "Like what you see? Tell me what brings you to this place? What drives you to climb the highest mountain in all Trafalgar?"

You feel your body freezing, a cold shiver creeping along your spine. You speak about your family, about your sick sister, how this trip was to prove that the Mountain Dew from the ice that falls in the peaks can cure any disease. The statue seems to move, her piercing eye making your body flinch under higher scrutiny.

The voice responds: "The Mountain Dew, sorry for breaking your expectation, but that's only a tale. But I can give you the cure, if you give me something in return. See as a Benevolent Goddess, I have to vigil Humanity and trace its fate. While I have subjects below me in the Temple, I miss someone to keep as mine."

A gust of wind blows over the statue and a woman with red flame hair, emerald piercing gaze, and skin white as polished marble walks towards you. Her voluptuous body is so alluring and intriguing that you swallow hard. Now at your size, she touches your shoulder and walks behind you, her fingertips tracing lines on your skin and making your body hairs stand on end.

She introduces herself: "My name is Arthemisia. I'm the Overseer of Humanity, more precisely the Kingdom of Trafalgar. Each of us gods has a kingdom to vigil. And while I don't get mentioned in books or prayed to in Churches and Holy Sites, I zeal over each one of the Humans that lives in the Kingdom, from eons ago. I need company. To be alone here is to deal with tragedy and disgrace without a place or someone to vent to. So let me propose something to you. You stay here as my own Celestial Slave, and I cure your sister from the malady that corrupts her body and slowly squeezes the joy of infancy out of her."

You ponder. All you have done was to save your sister, and if that means being Arthemisia's slave, so be it. You nod and the goddess smiles. She touches your body, and you feel a link forming like strands of a braid connecting you to the Goddess.

"That's perfect, I can see your potential. I can see us in the future, sharing the same ambient. You aiding me with my chores, and at night... Well... That would be left to ponder."

Days come and go. Arthemisia isn't pushy nor mistreats you; instead she loves you with all her godlyhood. As an immortal soul now, you find yourself living a strange but good life among this huge woman. One day you wake up from your bed, dressed in plain simple clothes, and leave your dorm to walk towards your Goddess. Celestial beings bustle about the place - some the very image of legendary Heroes from Tales, others gigantic monsters - all with their own Celestial Slave. You smile, for this is another day in this huge, chaotic, and confusing picture.

"What would be your first act?"
