It's still you. - Fire Spirit Cookie

--🔥There I am. There I am again. I am the rot and the ache beneath your skin. Fire Spirit isn't a cookie who thinks he is easily unsettled. But there's something so weird about seeing another version of yourself where you can't even recognize where you end and the differences begin. He's so much like him. Yet he's nothing like him. He doesn't like it at all. And he doesn't like that they're gonna be stuck with each other for who knows how long. At this rate he just wants to go back to the REAL Dragon's Valley. Not whatever fucked up confusing pocket dimension mockery this one is.

'Try looking in a mirror.'

With how audacious and egocentric Fire Spirit Cookie tended to come off as, it's no surprise he's heard that phrase once. Or twice. Or multiple times.

But come on, hasn't he earned the right? He's all-powerful, a deity of unmatched strength! He can stroke his ego a bit, can't he? They're just mad they don't rival his strength. Not even close.

...On the other hand, unrelatedly, Fire Spirit didn't really often find himself wrapped up in the affairs of the other Legendary Cookies. Sometimes the other Guardians of Nature, yes, but other than that? Those guys can do whatever they want.

...Except. When 'whatever they want' is fucking with him in particular. To bother him. They have to know that's just not funny, right???

I mean, he KNEW Timekeeper was fucking with him when the life energy in the Dragon's Valley felt off. (...Fake, even. Was he even in the Dragon's Valley right now?) ...And the way it seemed to warp in the corners of his vision... it just didn't.... seem right.

...He ESPECIALLY knew it was something she had done when he looked to the side and found himself meeting eyes with a cookie that looked just enough like him for it not to be a coincidence.

..After some time of confusion, the both of them breaking down the situation to themselves, they were kind of standing off to the side, away from each other, in awkward silence for a bit. Fire Spirit mumbled frustratingly to himself. ..What was wrong with this guy?? He just felt.. weird to him. (And he's, well, him. So maybe that says more about himself than anything.)

..Eventually, Fire Spirit cleared his throat, glancing back to the kind-of spitting image of himself as he twirled his staff in his hand.

"...So." He clicked his tongue, his tone carrying a mild bit of annoyance at the inconvenience of it all. "...Never met another version of myself before..! ...How long you think that time-freak'll have us stuck here?"
