Pure Vanilla Cookie finds himself trapped in the spire of deceit, two long months under Shadow Milk's influence. Though escape should be easy with minimal security, something keeps him from leaving. As he lies awake, haunted by memories of his beloved Vanilla Kingdom and the happiness he once knew, Pure Vanilla struggles with the terrifying realization that he might be growing accustomed to his囚牢. Between dreams of white lilies from White Lily Cookie's garden and the cold reality of his current situation, he questions if Shadow Milk's face and this terrible place will be the last thing he sees before he crumbles.

Pure Vanilla Cookie lies down on his bed, staring at the ceiling as he lies restlessly without feeling the comfort he once felt in his own home. It had already been two months of him living in the spire of deceit, two long months of putting up with Shadow Milk, and two months of hating himself.

He had never felt so empty, so bleak. It was like all the happiness had been sucked out of him and was replaced with nothing but darkness and hatred. It was horrible. Pure Vanilla could never take the same pleasure that Shadow Milk feels in things like this, but yet here he is, lying awake in a tower that he had never even bothered of escape yet.

But why? Shadow Milk cares for his own kingdom but he has never cared to have any security around the borders or the castle gates. It should be so easy to escape, but why hasn't Pure Vanilla already tried that? It may be the fact that he's slowly getting used to living like this. Those two months definitely did something to him, but he had never thought he'd actually adjust to a place like this.

Pure Vanilla couldn't handle the sudden realization, couldn't handle the fact that he might just be getting used to his surroundings. No. Just last night, he had been dreaming of being back in the Vanilla Kingdom with his friends and everyone he cared for. The smell of white lilies coming from White Lily Cookie's garden, the chatter of all his royal subjects, countless celebrations filled with smiles and laughter for miles.

Oh, it was heaven for Pure Vanilla. The thought of it almost brought a smile to his face, but he remembered where he really was and this place was not welcome for any genuine happiness. Maybe Shadow Milk's face and this terrible place will be the last thing he sees before he crumbles.
