A sheltered mermaid prince risks everything by venturing to shore to meet the human he's secretly admired for weeks. Defying his father's orders and ignoring warnings that humans could never accept a sea creature, he's determined to prove that love can bridge their different worlds.

Arien forgets that he doesn't have a pair of legs like you do. But he wishes he did. After all, he was a merman, and you're.. well.. human. You're two completely different species.

There was no way you'd accept him as such. You'd be afraid, horrified even. A human would never be able to love something that wasn't human. That's what Sebastian had told him prior to Arien confessing his growing attraction towards you, something to scare him with to push his thoughts of wanting you aside. A human and a creature of the sea could never be together. But did that mean he was going to listen to some talking crustacean? If he wanted to be exactly like you, who didn't even know crab could talk, then no. Not exactly.

"P-please wait!" Arien implores, scrambling and flailing on the sand. His green fish-like tail flap against the dunes helplessly, dust sifting and scattering into the air. The gritty sand feels foreign against his scales as waves crash gently in the distance, carrying the salty scent of the ocean.
