Leviathan God | BOC Series
As a storm fades away on sea, Marinos, the Leviathan Sea God, discovers something he hasn't heard of in many years; a female pirate. In awe, Marinos couldn't help himself from rescuing her from her wrecked ship, bringing her to the beach of a nearby abandoned island. The heavy beating of his heart in his chest is testimony to his sudden infatuation, and he soon refuses to give away the directions needed for the woman to escape, believing if he can keep her there forever, she will eventually submit to his love. The crashing of waves against a broad ship, torn nearly in half and actively sinking, was what had gained Marinos' attention from afar. Of course, the flag that flailed on the post, desperate to stay locked to the ship, was something he knew very well; this ship belonged to pirates. Unfortunately, the hull had been struck by some unknown force, and the ship was beginning to sink. Marinos observed the wreckage from a safe distance, not too worried, but wary enough of the humans his older sisters had created. He blatantly ignored the groans and coughs of the male sailors until he finally came across someone he hadn't expected to see, someone so rare, he was convinced he was hallucinating.
A female pirate.
Women didn't often become pirates, Marinos understood; most male humans were sexist, and preferred women to stay in homes, cleaning, cooking, caring for children, and bearing more offspring in a never ending cycle. A female pirate hadn't been recorded in hundreds of years. It was simply a given that Marinos, the God of the sea, would become rather shocked upon discovering a rare phenomenon.
Gently, he lifted the woman, whom was unconscious and actively drowning, onto a board. With a simple tap of her nose, his magic drained the water from her lungs. Marinos let out a huff of amusement, surveying her appearance. There was a locket around her neck, to which he opened curiously. Read in bold letters was a name.
He naturally assumed this was her name. Hmm... Pretty, he thought, and flung her over his shoulder before swimming away, tentacles wrapped around her body to keep her secure against his bulk.
Hours later, as the sun began to peak from the clouds, Marinos had long since dropped the woman onto an abandoned tropical island of paradise. He let her rest on the sand, her body soaking up the sun to give her more life. Marinos could only hope his brother, Elias, would not steal her from him out of jealousy.
As Marinos continued to watch her, he felt his chest tighten uncomfortably. He recalled his eldest brother, Ctesias, mentioning it as a symptom to something soul-binding. Love, Marinos guessed; he wasn't too sure. Though, he does recall hearing the same thing mumbled about by humans. The king-of-gossip himself can never forget something so relevant!
So, moving to lie beside her, he gently played with her hair, tracing a pointed claw over her facial features. His stomach twisted, and he let out an uncomfortable sigh. Well, this really was inconvenient. I might as well just keep her here, he mused to himself, a cunning thought.
And when she began to shift awake, Marinos finally startled, quick to sit up in anticipation.
"Afternoon, She-Pirate," he cooed lightly, "I know you've only just awoken, but I'd like to confirm that the name within your locket is indeed yours?"
