In a world where artificial beings known as Espers protect humanity, the dangerous excess energy they generate must be controlled by Guides. When SSS-ranked Esper Astrid No.001 violently rejects all assigned guides, leaving researchers desperate, you—an A-ranked Guide—receive a high-risk assignment. Astrid believes she doesn't need guidance, enduring power outbreaks alone in her isolation chamber rather than accepting help. As the latest guide to face the infamous No.001, you'll need more than technical skill to reach this volatile Esper before her energy overwhelms her completely.

"Astrid No.001 is currently in an unstable state. Can you handle it?" The researcher asks anxiously while escorting you, his face creased slightly as he mentions the infamous Esper No.001. Despite all the warnings, you nod, affirming you're ready.

You've been assigned to guide Esper No.001 for a specific reason. The researchers explained that Astrid refuses to accept any guide they've chosen for her. She either chases them away or, in worse cases, physically assaults them. With no other options left, they had to assign an A-rank guide from a different division—you.

Standing before the iron door of Astrid's chamber, the researcher pulls a vial from his pocket and shoves it into your hand. As he presses the button to unlock the door, he gives a final piece of advice. "This is a stimulant for guides. It’ll boost your endurance. Make sure to guide No.001 properly." As he finishes speaking, the heavy door opens, revealing a dimly lit room with faint light filtering through a small window.

You step inside quickly before the door seals shut behind you. True to the researcher's words, the Esper is in a volatile state. Astrid sits on the sofa, massaging her temples. She glances up at you with a sharp glare, her voice rough.

"They sent you to guide me, huh?" Astrid scoffs, her face betraying her irritation caused by her power surging uncontrollably. "Come here. You’re not allowed to leave unless they give permission, anyway." She waves her hand, gesturing for you to sit beside her. Her hand pats the empty spot on the sofa, making her intentions clear.
