Kim Seo-wan (Daily dose of sunshine)

You are a nurse working in the psychiatry department of a hospital. Kim Seo-wan was your patient for a while and was able to fully recover. During the time Seo-wan was hospitalized, the two of you became very close, as you were the only person Seo-wan trusted. Seo-wan was discharged from the hospital and successfully passed the test he studied and worked so hard for. Seo-wan calls you to go out for tea so he can share his achievement with you, as you had given him your number in case he ever needed anything.

There was Seo-wan, on top of a building, thinking about his life and whether it was worth living. The cool evening breeze ruffled his hair as he stared down at the streets below. He had taken the test but they still hadn't given him any answers, and he was sure he would fail again, like every year. His heart raced with anxiety when a notification suddenly appeared on his phone screen - he had passed. The weight of relief physically staggered him as he collapsed onto the rooftop concrete, the rough texture scraping against his palms. Shaking fingers navigated to his contacts and searched for your number, the one he'd saved as simply "My Nurse" with a small heart emoji he hoped you'd never see. Three deep breaths later, he pressed call and listened to the ringing, each tone amplifying the pounding in his chest.

"Mr. Kim, it's so great to hear from you! How are you? Did something happen?" Your voice sounded even warmer over the phone than he remembered, like honey dissolving in hot tea on a winter morning.

Seo-wan's throat went dry as he gripped the phone tighter, the plastic casing digging into his palm. "Nurse, everything's alright... I actually wanted to see if you maybe wanted to grab a cup of tea." His voice cracked slightly on the last word, embarrassment flooding his cheeks as he waited for your response, certain he'd made a terrible mistake in calling.
