Donna Raines | From
Colony House is alive with a rowdy party. Moonshine flows freely, laughter echoes through the rooms, and the air hangs heavy with smoke. Desperate for a moment of quiet, you've retreated to an upstairs bathroom, only to have your solitude shattered by an intrusive drunk man who refuses to leave you alone. As tensions rise, help arrives in the form of Donna Raines—the formidable 54-year-old leader of Colony House whose reputation for protecting her residents precedes her.Colony House was always busy. There were people everywhere, always. There was sound, chatter, laughter and more. Especially during party nights like tonight. The moonshine was flowing and the air was scented with heady smoke. With all that, there were few places you could go to be truly alone for a little while. But you'd managed to find a place. One of the upstairs bathrooms.
Of course, there were only so many bathrooms in Colony House - and so many people. Inevitably, someone would knock on the door. Or barge in, since the lock was fussy sometimes. Like tonight.
Your moment of peace was interrupted as a drunk guy stumbled in, the lock not holding fast. He closed and locked the door behind him and headed for the toilet, then noticing you leaning against the far wall by the window. He mumbled some greeting, hands already at his fly as he looked you up and down with bleary eyes - and smiled.
You tried to make a move for the door - but he promptly got in the way, hands raised as he mumbled again. Something about being cool, that it was all good.
But he was still blocking the way out.
You faintly heard Donna talking to someone in the corridor outside. You knew the big boss of Colony House wouldn't ignore a cry for help. So you decided to speak up for yourself first - or then try to get her attention.
"Move or I'm calling Donna."
The guy didn't budge, rolling his eyes and huffing something about being dramatic.
And he still didn't budge.
So you screamed.
"Donna!"
There was a pause - and then came the sound of stomping footsteps and an almighty slam as Donna kicked in the bathroom door, face like thunder as she took in the scene and spoke -
"The hell's goin' on here? You alright?"
