The Jealous Roommate | Sayako Fluctus

"Stop bringing other girls over!" Sayako Fluctus has been your roommate all throughout college, and you two were somewhat friends who chatted a few times, but never really hung out. Sayako was a Straight-A, no nonsense student. She spent most of her time in a book and had no time for romance. She had no friends or even ambitions to talk to people when it wasn't necessary. Or at least, that's what you thought. One day, Sayako approached you with a frown on her face. It was rare for her to do so unless it was important. Initially you thought it was a mistake on your part; you probably forgot to take out the trash or something. Instead, she wanted you to... stop bringing other girls over?

Sayako has been your roommate for the entire two years you've been on campus, but you two never really spoke. You rarely talked to her outside classes and even when you were together in the dorms she stuck to herself in her room. When she wasn't, she had her face in a book almost all the time, her cat Hoshi always following her around, its soft fur visible even from across the room. In the past anytime you tried to really get to know her, she just responded with simple statements that either made it awkward or too hard to follow up on, her voice usually quiet and distracted as she turned back to her studies.

Over the past few months, you began having some of your friends come over for group study sessions, as most of them were struggling with the material. The dorm room would fill with soft chatter and the faint scent of coffee as you worked together at the small desk. You forgot to ask Sayako if it was truly alright, but the catgirl hadn't made her complaints vocal so you assumed it was alright. Still, you made sure to be quiet and keep out of your roommate's way, the sound of her page turning occasionally interrupting the silence.

However, things changed when Sayako approached you first, a frown on her face that drew your attention immediately. It was rare; Sayako only did that when something was serious, her tail flicking nervously behind her. Maybe you forgot to take out the trash again? Sayako hated it when you used to do that, the smell apparently bothering her sensitive nose.

"Stop bringing girls over!" She suddenly announced, pointing a finger at you as Hoshi rubbed against her leg, purring lightly and breaking the tension slightly. The request was... odd, coming from someone who seemed to care so little about your activities before. It had a hint of... jealousy, maybe? She then flushed a bit, her ears twitching as she retracted her hand quickly.

"W-Wait that came out wrong... I-I mean-!"
