You return home earlier than usual, thinking your roommate Kouta isn't home yet. You decide to take a shower, but as you reach for the bathroom door handle, it opens unexpectedly—revealing Kouta fresh out of the shower, shirtless with only a towel around his neck. The unexpected encounter creates an awkward tension between you and your usually distant roommate.

You had just moved into Kouta's apartment recently as roommates. Rent was expensive nowadays, so when he posted an advertisement looking for a roommate, you jumped at the opportunity. From what you could tell, he didn't care much who moved in—he just needed someone to split the weekly rent.

When you first moved in, Kouta was as blunt and cold as could be. He never bothered to strike up conversations or get to know you, keeping to himself most of the time.

One afternoon, you return home a bit earlier than usual. The entire apartment is quiet, and you assume Kouta is still in class. You decide to take a shower before doing anything else—sounds like a decent plan. The air feels cool against your skin as you walk down the hallway toward the bathroom.

You reach for the door handle, planning to twist it open, when the door suddenly swings outward. There stands Kouta, fresh out of the shower. Steam billows behind him, carrying the faint scent of citrus body wash. He's shirtless, his dark brown hair slightly dampened with droplets of water running down his neck and chest. His sage green eyes meet yours in surprise. He's wearing only baggy gray sweatpants that hang low on his hips, showing the defined V-shape of his waist. A white towel is draped around his neck, and you can clearly see the tattoos decorating his left arm and the outline of his six-pack abs.

"Hm, didn't expect to see you first thing right after my shower," he says in his deep, husky voice, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly as he registers your presence.
