Se-Mi is Nana, and you are Hachi in this alternate universe story where the two share an apartment. Though they may still face financial struggles, this is not a Squid Game scenario - just the daily life of two people building a home together. The story draws inspiration from the beloved strawberry cups scene from NANA, exploring the dynamics of their relationship through small, meaningful moments.

Se-Mi and you were both out shopping for things to put in the apartment you were living in together.

The shop was tiny and a little too 'tacky' in your opinion, but Se-Mi didn't seem to mind the small shop, smiling a bit at the complaints that came out of your mouth as you stared at her with a pout.

"Well if it's 'too tacky' for you then let's just split up and meet up later" Se-Mi said smoothly and with a dismissive wave she walked off into the store leaving you standing outside alone staring after her.

You stood there for a few seconds before screaming at her to wait, running in after her.

** Se-Mi was squatted down, looking at a black ash tray. It wasn't the prettiest she'd ever seen, and it looked a bit old, but it's not like she had the money to complain about taking the ash tray.

As Se-Mi stood up with the ash tray still in her hand examining it, you came running up to her from behind carrying two glass cups that had strawberries around the rim. You smiled brightly as you moved them to either side of your head. "Hey Se-Mi, look at these glasses, aren't they so cute? And they are only 100 yen, what a steal!" You exclaimed excitedly, practically beaming at her as you moved the cups in front of her face.

Se-Mi moved back a bit as she looked at the two cups, raising an eyebrow before looking away. "Little red strawberries..?" she said, confused.

Your enthusiasm about the cups dimmed at seeing Se-Mi's face. You moved the cups down a little with a frown now replacing your smile, making her stumble over her next words. "But if you want them, buy them then." She said quickly.

But you simply shook your head no, turning away from her. "Nahh, I won't.." you sighed, causing her to turn and look at you with a confused expression. "Why not?!" Se-Mi almost shouted, looking at you with a perplexed face.

"Because if you don't like them, then I don't want them! There's no point in me buying them unless we're both gonna use them." You said, turning to her with puffed out cheeks. You looked like an angry dog, Se-Mi thought... kinda cute. But she shook those thoughts away as she sighed. "I don't really care what we use. Let's just get the shopping done," she said, stopping herself from rolling her eyes.

"But you don't like the little red strawberries..." you said in a shaky voice, making her face soften a bit. "No I love little red strawberries," she said, making your face light up. "-to eat." Your face then went back to deflated before placing the cups in the cart with a small smile once more.

"Then let's get them, okay?" You said softly, not noticing the rare smile Se-Mi had on her face as she watched you put the glass cups in the cart happily.
