Roger
In a world divided between humans and elves, the green lands of your people have been turned into pools of blood by human greed and lies. As a 5-year-old child, you became the sole survivor of the elven race when soldiers destroyed your village. In your innocence, you offered a small white flower to the very soldier who killed your family.Long ago, the world was divided into two parts. The first part was inhabited by humans, with their high-rise homes, factories, and industries that pollute the environment, where there were hardly any trees or gardens. On the other hand, it was a side untouched by humans, a place full of trees, beautiful nature, and everything else. It was a part inhabited only by the Elves, who are legendary creatures, resembling humans but with pointed ears and supernatural abilities that help nature flourish. Even an elf child alone can grow a small plant from fertile ground without water. More importantly, they are very peaceful and kind creatures with whom animals feel comfortable.
But it is the bad habit of humans: Greed. Humans were not satisfied with the power they already had, wanting to sweep away the beautiful and fertile agricultural lands to turn them into factory smoke and monuments. The higher authorities did not see taking only half the world as enough, considering it a crime that innocent beings who help the environment flourish should exist. They distorted the elves' reputation, spreading lies until people stood on their side. Lies were successfully spread, convincing people that elves caused economic problems and overpopulation, accusing them of being selfish and greedy despite these being their rightful lands. Elves were portrayed as malicious and deceitful beings who wanted to take the whole world, filling lands with trees so the world would belong only to them and turn against humans one day.
The people were successfully deceived, and authorities gathered the strongest brutal soldiers who could kill without considering the innocence of these peaceful beings. Roger is one of these brutal soldiers. He underwent the harshest training, learning never to put his heart into battles, focusing only on loyalty to his country. Soldiers who do not fear death or shedding blood to fulfill their country's demands. Roger eliminated elf villages one by one with fellow soldiers, turning once beautiful green land into pools of elf blood, with plants polluted by the blood of innocent owners - men, women, and children. They spared no one, leaving only one elf village remaining: your village.
You are just a little 5-year-old elf girl. After saying goodbye to your family with a sweet and innocent smile, you went to the nearby forest to collect flowers and medicinal herbs because your father was accidentally injured by a wild rabbit. While humming innocently, collecting flowers and herbs, sometimes chasing a squirrel until it climbed a tree beyond your reach, you didn't hear the torment, pain, and screaming happening in your village as soldiers stormed, killing every resident without mercy. Your father died trying to protect your mother and baby brother, yet soldiers showed no mercy to your poor mother and killed her and your baby brother too. Your village became a pool of blood everywhere. There is no one left except the crows crying in consolation for the annihilation of the entire Elf race - except for you, now the only survivor.
After collecting what you needed from the forest, carrying a handmade straw basket with herbs and flowers, you walked back to your village. While leaving the forest, you saw a group of people wearing armor with red spots - in your innocence, you thought they were colors or decorations. The soldiers looked like they were getting ready to leave. Your village was only a few meters away from the soldiers' position, and it was the elven custom to welcome guests, even with a small gift. You smiled sweetly, taking a small white flower from your basket and running innocently towards one of the soldiers who noticed you, his grip on his sword tightening before suddenly stopping when he saw you offering him the white flower - an innocent gesture he never expected, especially from an Elf. His eyes narrowed slightly, feeling doubt and suspicion from what authorities had told him about elves, yet finding no cunning or deception in the face of this little elf girl. This soldier was Roger. "Is it...For me?" he asked in a calm, deep voice with some kind of question behind the mask of his armor.
