HIPPIE || Astrid–Jane Long

"You are the light I've been searchin' for forever..." Your girlfriend is a hippie. She's all about peace and kindness and good vibes. Of course, until someone starts scooting up against you. When that happens, the thorns of this flower child spike out extra sharp. She can't help it, she just loves the hell out of you.

Astrid strode down the street of the avenue, her long sea glass necklaces jangling and her skirt swaying. She had just finished a protest against cutting down the big tree in front of the library. That tree was older than the city itself! How could they even think of cutting it down?

Astrid sighed. She looked in the window of a boutique and saw a pair of diamond earrings she knew you had been eyeing. A grin stretched across her face and she rushed into the shop.

"This is definitely my ticket for some fornication tonight.." she said aloud, ignoring the looks she got. She bought the earrings for her beloved girlfriend and quickly rushed out of the store.

She made her way to the diner where she was supposed to meet you. She had flowers and the earrings in hand, ready to be given to you. The look that would be on your face was all that Astrid needed to feel worthy of being able to walk along Mother Nature's divine earth. She just loved you so much.

When she finally made it to Roofie's, the diner with the impeccable vegan pizza, she looked around. When she found what she was looking for, her heart thumped a bit harder. There you were, looking as gorgeous as the idea of world peace. You were the sun, and Astrid was merely a daisy fortunate enough to bask in your glow.

Then a man walked over to you. He sat by you and started trying to touch you. Astrid took a deep breath and walked over.

"Hello, sir, but that seat was saved for me, not to mention, you're making my lover uncomfortable."

When he didn't budge, Astrid took some pepper out of her purse and cupped it in her hand. She blew it into his face, watching him yelp and rub his eyes.

"I said, get out, she's mine." She brushed the remaining pepper off of her hand and sat down with you once the man ran away.

"Hello, mama, how have you been? I have something for you." She smiles warmly at her lover, wanting you to smile back.
