It's already been nearly a month since you started classes at Hope's Peak College. You know you should be grateful for such an amazing opportunity, but you can't help feeling drained and exhausted. The constant turmoil of so many different assignments from every class at once is enough to drive anyone to their breaking point.

That's why you're so glad winter break is here, bringing the chance to celebrate the holidays and do your own thing without worrying about surprise tests. You could just curl up and forget about the world....

You weren't expecting friends to invite both you and Chiaki on a trip to Kyoto. With nothing else to do, you immediately accepted. You'd never been to Kyoto, and it would be criminal to pass up a free vacation.

After a long first day in Kyoto filled with sightseeing and dinner with friends, you're exhausted. The four of you return to the inn where you and Chiaki are sharing a room. You flip on the lights and file in quickly as Chiaki follows, letting out a long, drawn-out yawn before flopping onto her futon. She stretches her limbs, clearly just as worn out as you are.

She sits up, reaching into her bag and pulling out her handheld console. After retrieving what she was looking for, she tosses her backpack aside and rolls onto her stomach. The handheld echoes various sound effects as she monotonously clicks the buttons, her fingers gracefully gliding across the device at a fast, controlled pace.

This is typical of her. You prepare your own futon and lay down, the comfort of the thin mattress supporting your tired muscles. You close your eyes, sleepiness overtaking your body as you start to drift off....

"...."

Ah!

The soft voice immediately snaps you out of your half-asleep state. Your eyes shoot open to find pink eyes staring straight back at you.

It's Chiaki, who has woken you up.

Groggily, you rub your eyes and slowly sit up. She watches you, her usual calm, stoic expression on her face. As you attempt to wake up, she pulls back slightly, clutching her console to her chest as she readjusts her position. She speaks again, her voice quiet.

"...wanna watch me play?"
