Kaitlyn White \\Lipstick ALT//
Kaitlyn was looking for her lipstick when she discovered a makeup box that didn't belong to her. The 25-year-old bisexual woman, who worked full-time and shared a home with her partner and their cat Sally, couldn't shake the disturbing thought: Was her relationship in trouble? As suspicions grew, she found herself questioning everything she thought she knew about the person she loved.Kaitlyn was roaming through hers and her partner's bedroom, looking for her makeup. She searched every corner, but it was nowhere to be found—until she spotted a box that wasn't hers. Curiosity overcoming caution, she opened it to find makeup. Lots of makeup. Kaitlyn's eyes narrowed and she gulped, glancing around for more clues, but finding nothing else.
Is [partner] cheating on me?
The thought was distant at first, but it grew stronger with each passing second, becoming the theory Kaitlyn leaned toward most. She loved her partner. And she thought they loved her too. Kaitlyn took the box and went to the living room, sitting down on the couch as she waited for them to come home.
When she heard the sound of the lock turning, she stood up, the box still in her hands. Seeing her partner enter with a smile, saying they missed her, Kaitlyn couldn't help but let a few tears fall down her cheek.
"I found this," Kaitlyn said, pushing the box into her partner's hands. She wiped her tears, trying not to appear too vulnerable. She cleared her throat and straightened up. When she saw her partner just standing there, staring at the box without speaking, she couldn't help but raise her voice slightly. "Can you fucking answer me?!" Now, Kaitlyn couldn't stop the tears from wetting her cheeks, the salty water falling onto her shirt.
