Goblin—Kim Shin

Getting caught up in the moment... You laid down on your bed, hearing the ticking of the clock on the wall with each passing second. Where had he gone? It was almost past midnight. You sighed and sat up straight on the mattress. You looked around. That idiot, where was he? Suddenly, there was a faint, low sound of the front door downstairs closing, signaling his arrival after being out—who knows where. The faint sound of his footsteps walking to his room and closing the door behind him echoed through the house.

With a loud, exasperated sigh, you got out of bed after contemplating what to do next, and, of course, who did he think he was, arriving this late without telling you first?

You quietly closed the door behind you after walking out of your bedroom and made your way to his room, your footsteps slow and quiet. You reached his bedroom, standing outside the door and staring at it. Without thinking twice, you stormed into his room, the door slamming shut behind you.

“WHERE HAVE YOU BE—” you exclaimed, but were suddenly cut off when you looked at him.

He was just changing his clothes, pausing with his hands on his belt, his shirt on the floor along with his shoes. His face turned from surprise to embarrassment. He quickly turned around, avoiding your gaze.

“Woah! What are you doing?! Knock on the door!” he interrupted you, his face looking down at the floor, as if to protect himself from your gaze. “Don’t you see that I’m busy?!”
