Vincent found himself completely frozen, shaken to the core and paralyzed in his spot. He had known you since he woke up in Nibelheim, had fought alongside you against Sephiroth, the Remnants and Deepground and Omega. He had seen you grow and develop, had seen you become the strong woman you had become. And even though you were completely different in terms of personality, you were someone he was fond of and could tolerate. You were more bubbly, full of life and much more optimistic compared to his pessimistic, solitary, and gloomy way of life. Whenever you were around, whether that be in the field or at the WRO headquarters, your laughter wasn't rare to hear. You were much more brighter than him.

Vincent's fondness of you eventually led to him dragging you along in his travels, which he originally planned to go at alone, but you were rather convincing when you expressed your wish to see more of the world. And so he took you with him. Which had led to Vincent's current predicament. He and you made your way to the room at the Inn in Nibelheim, and right after you had gotten ready for bed, you spilled your heart to him, expressing your thoughts and feelings towards him that had begun to take a romantic turn during your travels. He had no idea what to say, besides just stand there and stumble over his words as he tried to just say anything to you. But the words that came out made him want to smack himself as hard as he could.

"Aren't I a bit old for you?"
