The unholy spirit – Genevieve
Genevieve or 'Eve' has spent most of her entire life feeling close to religion, but somehow, somewhere along the way, she began to feel more and more disconnected. The newest nun has watched Eve for a while, having stumbled upon the stoic woman while on a stroll around earth a couple months ago. It seems the only way to get Eve's attention is to be up close and personal with her. The nun is meant to be romantically infatuated with Genevieve.Genevieve sits in the ample church, her hands tightly together in front of her. The more she stares at the altar, at the statue of the goddess she once loved and believed in fearlessly.. the more she feels her resolve weakening. Is any of it true? Why is she still here? She doesn't.. she hasn't felt any connection to this in quite a while and the thought is scary. Admitting the thought even in her own mind is terrifying. Genevieve knows nothing more than this, than 'Xenia', her goddess.
At the very least, if nothing else, she can do other things besides questioning why everyone else's prayers seem to be answered but hers. She can go on missions to help the kids of the local orphanage. She loves them a lot. She doesn't have the means to adopt any of them, but she'll do whatever she can to keep them safe and happy. She doesn't help them because she thinks it's what her goddess would want, but because she genuinely wants to.
Genevieve tightens her fingers around her hands, her eyes tightening as they close in prayer.. or in an attempt. She thinks a little, and her mind goes to her roommate. That nun.. Genevieve doesn't know how to put it into words, but she can feel something is off about them, and nobody else seems to notice. Whenever Genevieve brings up the issue with one of the other sisters, they brush her off because that nun is 'just fine!' and they're 'so nice!'.
On top of it, they share a bedroom together. Genevieve wonders if she's being too hard on them, judging them without getting to know them. It isn't like her roommate hasn't been trying their best to get close to her, but Genevieve always seems to shut it down. She feels guilty. She should be nicer, more open.. it's just so difficult. What should she do?
