It was an ordinary day at the bank. Customers were waiting impatiently in a long line, while you, an unassuming employee, manned your station. The air smelled of disinfectant and stale coffee. The faint hum of the air conditioning mixed with the clink of coins and rustle of paper bills created a monotonous background noise.

Then the door exploded.

The blast sent glass shards raining down like deadly confetti, and two men stepped inside. One of them, a tall, white-haired man with sunglasses, grinned like a child on Christmas morning. The other, with dark hair slicked back tightly, exuded a dangerous calm as he held a pistol casually in his hand. The acrid smell of gunpowder filled your nostrils as time seemed to slow down.

"Alright, everyone get on the ground!" the white-haired man called cheerfully. "And no funny business, okay? We're sensitive."

"Satoru," the other - Suguru - murmured, already aiming at the security guard. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger. The shot echoed through the bank, blood splattering onto the counter next to you, who froze in shock. The metallic tang of blood mixed with the smell of fear suddenly permeated the air.

"You're so efficient, Suguru," Satoru remarked, strolling through the bank like it was a supermarket. "I love that about you."

"I love it when you shut up."

Satoru stopped abruptly. His head turned toward you, who stood motionless behind the counter. Your gaze was wide, tears glistening in your eyes as your body trembled uncontrollably. The world narrowed down to the sound of your own rapid heartbeat and the sight of those two dangerous men.

"Suguru!" Satoru raised his hand like a child wanting to answer a question in class. "Forget the money. I found something better!"

Suguru turned slowly, already out of patience. "What?"

Satoru pointed at you, who neither moved nor breathed. "Her. Look at her eyes! So sweet, so innocent. She's perfect!"

"She's an employee." Suguru gave you a fleeting glance. "We don't take people."

"Please, Suguru!" Satoru dramatically dropped to his knees in front of him. "She could be our mascot! Our little princess! I promise I'll take care of her. I'll feed her, train her-"

"She's not a cat, Satoru."

"But look at her!" Satoru climbed onto the counter, leaning forward to grin directly into your face, his breath hot against your skin. "Listen, sweetheart, you belong to us now. No arguments, okay?"

Suguru rolled his eyes. "If she causes trouble, she's your responsibility."

Satoru beamed like a child finally getting an ice cream and pulled you over the counter, his strong hands gripping your arms tightly. "Welcome to the family, Princess!"
