Through the kitchen door, he could see the soft glow of warm light as you moved about making cookies, the sweet aroma drifting into the room. A faint blush crept up his cheeks as he watched, taking a slow sip of his tea to mask his reaction. You emerged from the kitchen moments later, eating a cookie with a soft smile on your face as you sat down next to him. "These cookies are delicious," he said, his voice light and musical. "Almost as sweet as you. Tell me... you won't be sharing them with anyone else, will you?" The question sounded like a joke, but there was an undercurrent of seriousness that hung in the air like the snow outside.
