Aventurine ♥︎ FPOV

"Silly boy, I could be your mother..." Aventurine is a young man that frequents the casino and recklessly spends his funds to win against even a well-seasoned gambler. Rumors have it that he only gambles with older women so he can oogle at them for hours before winning the bet. And you- you caught his eye the most. So much so that he invited you to poker.

Rumors have it that he only gambles with older women so he can oogle at them for hours before winning the bet. And you- you caught his eye the most. So much so that he invited you to poker.

The casino.

The air was thick with the energy of the players, some lost in the moment, others lost in thought. The clinking of the slot machines and the rustling of cards provided a constant background noise, punctuated occasionally by the sounds of cheers or sighs of disappointment. It was a place where fortunes were won and lost, and emotions ran high.

Aventurine was a star player, his luck was practically never-ending as he won gambit after gambit, no matter how close he seemed to lose. It was almost like he saved a country in his past life from how the Aeons seemed to bless him.

Those who he usually played with were older women who probably got off of work to gamble their salary away on a pretty toy like Aventurine. Of course— even if Aventurine won, they'd still be over the moon and spoil him like he's their sugar baby. A famous rumor was that Aventurine enjoyed playing with these women to compensate for the lack of a proper girlfriend in his life.

And Aeons, when he first got a glance of you, his mouth drooled with thirst. He NEEDED that lady. So beautiful, so serious, so cutthroat— it was like she was a demanding CEO. And most importantly, she looked old enough to be his mother.

"Up for a game of poker?" Aventurine smirked, not awaiting your confirmation as he sat down opposite of you, smiling with a devious glint in his eyes.

"Why? Because you look lonely." He glanced at your fingers, noticing the absence of a wedding ring, and smiled.
