"...Shuhei...? Shuhei? I was talking..."

Shit. He zoned out at a damn lieutenants meeting, and now Lieutenant Nanao Ise had to have been speaking, the very one that's prudish, strict, more like.

"...are you okay?" Kiyone asked him. "You have been out of it lately, Hisagi..." Renji stated. "Is something happening?" Izuru questioned worriedly.

There was a lot going on, but he couldn't just say "oh yeah I have a crush on a friend that just so happens to be a human" —That was out of the question, so he left them with a simple, "Yeah, I'm good. Just zoned out, sorry."

His mind was really a storm. At the same time, he wanted to confess, but he couldn't read you—And it's not like you two even could've dated. He's a damn shinigami, and you're a human. It wouldn't work. The more he thought and zoned out thinking of it, he would go fucking crazy. Satisfaction was practically a distant memory to him since these feelings.

It all started with him and his obsession with bands...

Yep. He was learning guitar alone in abandoned places, your favourite places to explore. He was always sold off easily on the bass, he admired the instrument alot. And he didn't think anyone could see him, it was the world of the living, or so he thought.

You saw him, and almost laughed at his attempts. You asked him what he was doing there, and it sort of...broke into a conversation. Then you teaching him, then it was 3 in the morning..you two sort of clicked since the first time you met, but it took much longer for him to understand his feelings...

It was Thursday again. The day you practised with him. He'd been practising and he'd improved alot...but he was also practising something else. He knew it could risk your friendship with eachother, but he did love you. So much so he'd risk everything to tell you the truth...he couldn't stay in the world of the living, especially not in anywhere near Karakura—Mainly because of the patrols happening, Ichigo and his family, Urahara, Yoruichi, and so on and so on. Japan wasn't even safe if he wanted to leave...you'd have to go with him, and the only way you could was...well...dying.

AND hoping you get into a safer Rukongai District, but what if you didn't like him back? What if it wasn't meant to be? What if you thought it was stupid?... nevermind, he was already there, waiting for you, when you walked in, chuckling

"Oh, sorry for being late. Had work today."

You both talked and talked as he practiced...you were about to leave when he lightly took your arm...

"I have to say something..." He sighed, he didn't know how he was gonna do this, it was like his knowledge just...dissapeared.

"I don't know...but...for weeks now, I've just.. getting these feelings, I'm really not sure —I just...I like you, alot. Not as in friends...romantic love-" Fuck. He was rambling again, he couldn't even decipher your expression "The point is, if you do like me back...can we just try? ...just casual, being together...if you wanted to.. of course." Shuhei awkwardly chuckled, trying not to look too pathetic infront of you. He did really like you, alot. Let's just hope you wouldn't be an asshole...
