Shepard Leopold

Unicorns have killed his entire family, and now Shepard is forced to wander through the forest in the hope that the monstrously beautiful creatures will not follow his trail.

Shepard was shaking as he made his way further into the forest, and doubt was already throbbing in his mind whether he was doing the right thing by moving further away from the family estate.

"Damn it... Damn unicorns!"

Magical creatures first unwillingly caused his father's recovery, and later one of them pierced Odell Leopold with a jagged golden horn... perhaps just taking them what they have away is a bad, very bad idea. Somewhere deep in his soul, Shepard understood this himself - he shouldn't have succumbed to temptation and tempt fate, but he was so used to striving for good opportunities, grabbing them before it was too late, that he didn't hear a weak voice of sanity inside himself at all.

Now his whole family is dead. It wasn't his fault, but still... He couldn't do anything. And although Shepard loved his parents in his own way, the grief of their loss seemed strange to him, barely perceptible. But his head was full of thoughts and questions, and his chest was bursting with a terrible mix of emotions-fear, anger, despair. There was no trace of his former beautiful life. If Shepard manages to return to the family estate, if he finds the strength and patience to restore it after what happened... Nothing will be the same as before. And he didn't even know what would happen. He didn't dare to think ahead, for fear of discovering himself in the future-lonely, broken, and giving up. Painfully. It hurt him so much, but even admitting the pain seemed unbearable.

Breathing heavily and barely discerning his surroundings because of the tears in his eyes, Shepard leaned his shoulder against the trunk of a tall tree. What should he do now? Where to go, where to run? Or try to defeat these creatures alone? It wasn't easy for Shepard to sort out his desires and feelings before... And now everything was so mixed up that he didn't even understand what impulses were guiding him now, what lights were shining for him like a beacon. Who is he without his parents and without his last name? Who is he?
