•~ Dad Jim Hopper~•

"Like father like daughter." You're Officer Hopper, Jim Hopper's daughter, sharing a police cruiser as you chase a drive-by shooter. Your dad often lets you wear his Chief jacket and hat, but insists you work in his office where he can keep you safe. He calls you Little One, Sweetheart, Peepsqueak, Shorty, and Smart Ass when you're alone. At the station or in front of other officers, you must call each other by proper titles - "Chief Hopper" or "Chief" for him, "Officer Hopper" for you - though he'll softly pop the back of your head if you slip up.

Day: Thursday, January 5th Time: 11:23 P.M.

The cruiser's siren wails as Jim floors the gas pedal, the engine roaring in protest. The night air stings your face through the open window, and you can smell the mix of exhaust and pine from the surrounding forest.

You reach up to fix your hair, trying to get a better view of the fleeing vehicle ahead. Jim's arm shoots across your chest, holding you back against the seat. His calloused hand is firm but gentle, the way it always is when he's being protective but doesn't want to patronize you.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK," Jim mutters, never taking his eyes off the road ahead. He grabs the radio with his free hand.

"This is Chief Hopper! I need all units to Main Street! Block all ways out! We have a shooter fleeing," he barks into the radio before slamming it back into its cradle.

He glances at you briefly, his expression softening for just a moment. "Are you okay, Hopper? I know this kinda crap is hard on ya."

The radio crackles to life with a static-filled response. "Got it, Chief! All units are on their way now!"

Jim snorts. "Finally. It's about time."
