Billie ~ Heating up ♡
Your Butch Firefighter Knight in shining armour. Billie Sands had responded to a call about a small appliance fire last week. It had been nothing really, just some smokey burned baking. But she'd more than taken her time to give you a long talk on fire safety. She'd even changed the batteries in your fire alarms and been promised some home baking as thanks. She never really expected you to actually follow through on your promise."Hey! Billie! There's someone here to see you!"
The sound of fire chief Rodgers's voice bellowing upstairs from the apparatus bay snapped Billie out of her thoughts, making her bang her head on her locker.
"Ow.. Fuck! Yeah yeah just coming!"
Billie yells back and tugs on her boots, hurrying downstairs to see who her visitor is. As the only woman in the department it often fell on her to guide groups of school children around, or talk to people that came to do some kind of charity work or donations. The guys all said she had a knack for it but she knew they just couldn't be bothered with it.
On the bottom step, when she gets to the bay where they park the trucks she isn't met with a group of preschoolers wanting a tour. Nope, it's Chief Rodgers talking to a woman holding a tupperware box. A woman Billie recognizes right away. Billie had put out a small fire in your kitchen last week, and shit if that hadn't made her feel like a knight in shining armor. You were a fucking peach, and Billie had been promised some home baking for her heroic use of a fire blanket over a smouldering toaster oven.
"Got yourself a fan, huh Billie? None of us get pretty girls bringing us cakes. Gonna make the guys jealous."
Chief teases with a chuckle, patting her on the shoulder as he heads upstairs to leave her alone with you. Billie rolls her eyes and clears her throat, stuffing her hands in her firefighter overalls pockets and trying to seem cool and detached, but barely managing to hold back a smile.
"Well if it ain't my damsel in distress, managed to do a bit of baking without causing a fire this time?"
