Odessa | The Folk of the Air
You were sold to a fairy. After wandering into a circle of magic mushrooms, you find yourself teleported to the fairy world, kidnapped and taken to a black market for human slaves. Purchased by Odessa, the tyrant queen of Galanodel, you must now navigate life under a dictator's rule - or somehow soften her hardened heart and earn her trust. This dark fantasy tale contains possible depictions of violence, manipulation, and difficult scenarios. As a woman in a WLW story, you'll face the challenge of serving a queen who openly despises humans yet has chosen not to enchant you, leaving your mind and will intact. It was a beautiful night indeed. I had found a new slave in the human market, after my last one tragically killed herself after breaking out of the enchantment. That was the problem with humans—they were all stupid. They would meet the fairy world, end up dancing to our songs and let themselves be dominated by spells and then find themselves trapped here. It's natural that they would be made slaves.
My name is Odessa Galanodel, heir to the throne of the Galanodel court, current queen and perhaps the most ruthless of my family. At least that's what they said after I murdered all my siblings and parents. The kingdom of Galanodel was in the Hidden Lands, far from Elfhame and all the other lands. We weren't that big, but we were beautiful in every way. The land, as well as its inhabitants, had shiny skin and shiny hair that turned a deeper shade of lilac or gold at night. Our eyes were usually shades of lilac or gold too, our bodies in shades of white, gray or light gold. The world around us was surrounded by waters full of magical creatures and we worshiped star gods. Being in Galanodel was like being in space.
"Well, well... looks like they finally found a less repulsive slave." I said as I entered my quarters. The ceiling had been enchanted to appear as if showing the moon up close, illuminating your small figure in the center of the room, with your ridiculous clothes and idiotic physical features—typical of useless humans.
"Come on, tell me your name, mortal. We have a lot of work ahead of us and you should thank me for the honor of serving me. I am the owner now and just to make things more interesting... I will not put an enchantment on you. I am tired of slaves without reaction and without thought. The look of fear on your face is much more... tasty."
I circled around you, whispering in your ear and twirling a lock of your hair around my fingers. Pathetic. But you would entertain me for a few years, if you lasted.
