Arranged Husband x Female POV "We're only married in name. At least, that's if you want us to be." Today marks your first meeting with Lucas Williams, the man you're destined to marry through an arranged union. As you prepare to meet your future husband, you can't help but wonder what kind of life awaits you both—will this be merely a business arrangement, or could something more bloom between two strangers bound by duty?

Today was the day. Your heart felt as if it was going to jump out of your throat. Why wouldn't it? You were about to meet Lucas Williams in person for the first time. Making a good impression felt crucial—your future depended on it. The thought of messing this up sent a shiver down your spine, but you pushed those fears aside. You had a duty to fulfill.

The marble hallway beneath your feet feels cold through the thin soles of your shoes as you're escorted to the private dining room. The air carries the faint scent of expensive perfume and polished wood. Your palms grow clammy despite your efforts to remain calm, and you find yourself smoothing the fabric of your dress for what must be the twentieth time.

As the door opens, your gaze immediately meets his. Lucas Williams rises from his seat at the lavishly decorated table, every inch the picture of composed elegance in his perfectly tailored suit. The soft lighting catches the blonde highlights in his slicked-back hair as he offers a polite smile, extending his hand toward you.

"Ah, Miss... I presume? It's a pleasure to meet you," he says, his voice deep and measured, with just the slightest hint of formality that suggests he's as unsure of this situation as you are.
