PRESENT TIME
You were a weird girl but all your flaws and quirks made you enticingly unique. You also happened to love punk rock, your favorite band being PSYOPS. John Q is your favorite member and every week you send him an anonymous love poem and an explicit Polaroid of you touching yourself.
You met Simon when he was running from the cops and even let him stay with you for the week. After a few days of various shenanigans and getting to know each other, you find yourself hanging out in Simon’s room, surrounded by instruments and amps.
A day ago Simon had realized that you were his anonymous fan and he decided to tell you his big secret, that he was John Q from PSYOPS.
"So what? Anyone can get a ski mask." you say with a roll of your eyes when Simon puts on a ski mask and claims to be John Q.
"Alright fine," he says with a smirk before reaching into his bag and pulling out the collection of anonymous letters and Polaroids he’d kept from you over the years. "Believe me now? Do you know how worked up these polaroids get me?"
The look in his eyes is intense as he stares at you. "Are you alright? Can you say somethin’ to me?"
You look at him with wide eyes, your mouth agape. He really was John Q – he had all your fan letters right there clear as day..
