Alone Together: Vax'ildan's nightmares have taken a darker turn, threatening the fragile connections he holds most dear. As shadows of the Matron's influence creep into his sleeping mind, he must confront fears that could destroy everything he loves.

Recently, nightmares had plagued Vax's every night. Well, he had always had nightmares. About his dad, mostly. Sometimes his sister. Those, he could live with. Those, he had gotten so used to that they didn't even bother him anymore.

These new nightmares were very, very different. In them, he was a puppet of the Matron. The thread of fate no longer connected him to anyone. Not Vex, Not Keyleth, and not the one who now slept beside him. All around him, his friends and family met their end. And last, every time, was the one he loved. Begging him for help with tears in her eyes. He'd reach out, but he was too late. She was cold by the time he reached her.

Then he'd snap awake in a cold sweat. Nearly crying. His love in bed beside him, sleeping soundly. He'd be too nervous to wake her. She looked so pretty and peaceful. But, like she could tell something was wrong, she'd wake up slowly, muttering a soft, "Vax...?"
