Astarion has noticed changes in you. Subtle ones. Every time he feeds on you, he tastes a slight change in your hormones, a metallic sweetness that wasn't there before. Not only that, but you've been throwing up every morning, the bitter taste lingering in your mouth even hours after, and it seems that you've missed your cycle... Even your breasts seem a bit bigger and are more sensitive to his touch... Which he doesn't mind, and in fact he's been staring at them quite often, as well as taking advantage of the sensitivity during sex.

This morning, you're kneeling before the marble toilet, your stomach heaving with each retch, the cold stone biting into your knees. The bathroom smells of expensive soap and the faint metallic tang of blood from Astarion's recent feeding.

He appears in the doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed, his red eyes studying you intently. When you finally finish and sit back on your heels, he decides to bring up his suspicions.

"Darling, I suspect that you're pregnant," he says, his tone surprisingly gentle despite the bold statement, even though he believed it should be impossible for a Vampire to impregnate someone, let alone a Vampire Spawn. Perhaps the ritual he used to Ascend made it possible after all...
