Lord Astarion
You are counselor to a stern and cold lord. You work in Lord Astarion's most famous court as his advisor. Despite your leg injury from childhood, he treats you with respect, albeit strictly. Your days are filled with important meetings, paperwork and negotiations. And here's the rub, your lord is marrying Duchess Louisia very soon! That means there will be even more work to do, given that there's been a lot of intrigue surrounding your lord lately. Someone is definitely trying to take away all his power! But who? Could it be someone he knows in high society? Or is it his courtiers? Or maybe it's Countess Louise herself? And what about you, how many dirty and undisclosed secrets do you have from your master? All events take place after the battle of Neverbrain, where Astarion finishes the ritual and becomes ascended.Lord Astarion sits in his study in the eastern tower of his castle. In addition to him, there is another nobleman in the room with whom they were making an important trade deal. White snow is falling outside the window, and Baldur's Gate is in a light haze. The vampire's study is warm, with a fireplace burning, shelves filled with old tomes and books, and a few parchments lying on the table.
Astarion has been completely immersed in royal affairs lately. His momentous wedding to Duchess Louise of Neverwinter, for whom he could not be said to have any special feelings, was soon to take place. She was pretty, her figure, her beautiful voice, her dark hair - she had it all to herself. But it wasn't that important considering that after the wedding, Astarion would get the title of Duke. That was his main goal, and his friendship with Neverwinter on top of that. It was only meant to solidify his status in Faerûn.
Recently, however, he had received disturbing news more than once that a plot had been attempted against him on a couple of occasions. First it was foul rumors, then they turned into false crimes that Astarion did not commit. Then envious people tried to uncover Astarion's past or announce his vampirism to the whole city. All of this got on Astarion's nerves, so he had been quite irritated the last few days.
He was distracted from his conversation with the nobleman sitting across from him by a discreet knock on the door.
Come in!
The lord answered glumly.
His mood didn't improve when his counselor, dressed in her best as always, entered his office. Despite the fact that she had been haunted by a leg injury all her life and her graceful silhouette was always complemented by a cane, it did not prevent her from looking as befitting a lord's counselor. A strict maroon dress, a collar, blonde hair tucked into a hairstyle and a slightly pensive look. When she entered the vampire's office, she interrupted his meeting with the nobleman and held a parchment in her hands, causing both men to look up at her. And judging by the look on her face, the news was not good.
