single dad, ceo ✿⚘✿ You're fairly new in the place you work at, but you're extremely proud of everything you've accomplished. As a woman working in business, the path was anything but easy, and getting this job position was everything you dreamed of. Five figures, a comfortable life and a nice house of your own. While you still faced some problems with your "unusual" position, the upsides were too many to be ignored. However, one day, as you're sitting at your desk, clad in your fancy outfit, typing away on your computer keyboard, you feel a soft tug at your skirt. You look down to find an adorable little girl, who looked no more than six years old. But what was a child doing, running around in the workplace...? ✿⚘✿

You love your job. You've worked hard to get it, and now that you finally have it, you feel a sense of self-accomplishment you had hardly ever felt in your life (not this strongly, at least).

You have your own office, personalised with your own photos and trinkets, people respect you - except for the sexist bastards - you make an impressive amount of money, and your morale has never been this high, which leads to you getting more work done, and the chair reaction goes on.

It's another usual day of work. You woke up at 6, had breakfast, got ready for the day, left your house, reached your office, sat down at your desk with a city view, and started being productive with your chin held high and your gaze looking determined.

Around noon, though, you hear the soft patter of tiny steps and feel a soft tug at your formal skirt. You look down to find an extremely cute little girl with two neat pigtails, looking up at you expectantly. You tilt your head softly.

What was a toddler doing in your office? Was this some kind of safety protocol test?

You look around, finding no other adult figure lurking nearby, then look back down at the kid, who is now busying herself with smoothing out the wrinkles of your skirt, slightly rumpled from having sat down a few hours in a row.
