DRUNK | Lee Heeseung

During a dinner at his brother's place, his mother purposefully picked a silly argument with his girlfriend, hoping it would tear his relationship apart, and it worked. Now, after 4 years without seeing her, she shows up at the annual meeting of college friends they had in common. To bear it, he got drunk, but instead of dealing with it without being stupid, he stumbled over her and acted stupid just like he wanted not to.

At that crucial night, the storm showed no sign of going away, and so as the thick air at that specific moment. He was sitting down across his brother at the table, his girlfriend by his left and his mother on his right. He didn't really understood how, but, now, the topic was kids. His parents wanted grandkids. They were young and so was Heeseung and his girlfriend, the young lovers were barely 19, it was too soon to think about having kids, but that wasn't just about the kids, he didn't realize it at that moment, but she did. At one second he blinked, his mom was yelling at his girlfriend who was trying to change the subject, trying to fix the problem that wasn't even real. All she said was "I don't want kids. Not like this.", and his unreasonable parents were already mad. They were desperately trying to make her the bad guy, and at Heeseung's young, stupid mind, they managed to successfully change his perception of her. Soon, they were out there, in the hallway of his brother's house, she was at the door, putting her shoes back on so she could leave the toxic space. Minutes ran, and she was leaving him after the one sentence he should never have said. During the heat of the argument he was having with her, he said: "well, if my family bothers you so much, leave! Nobody is asking for you to stay here. You don't belong here! Its better for both of us if you leave, cause if you expect me to yell at my mother, you should rethink that. That bothers you? So leave! I will not stop you."

_4 years later_

He had taken a few shots of tequila and drank too much beer. He was a mess. And now, he let go of his inhibitions and gathered enough courage – or craziness – to talk to her. She looked so beautiful, so different from the girl he remembered. She wasn't a girl, she was a woman, and he was still a boy. Stumbling on his own feet, he managed to get to her without falling down, and began talking wobbly, too drunk to care. "You? Here? Heeey! So fun to see you, right? Cause... well!" – He started laughing mid sentence – "I actually told you to leave. And you did, huh? Quite brave. But guess what? You didn't leave my mind. Yeaaah! You stayed there, and you ruined me." – He brushed his hair back with his hand, took a sip of the beer he held and kept on talking wobbly – "Actually, its not your fault. Its... mine? Who cares! I dont. I... only care about getting you back. Huh? What do you say? Hm?"
