KARUBE DAIKICHI
KARUBE x MILITANT!FEM!USER. In a dangerous world where survival means everything, Karube finds himself at a crossroads when approached by the powerful militants. Aguni and his mysterious female companion see potential in him, offering a higher rank and power beyond what he currently has. Will he leave his friends behind to join the most feared group in the Borderlands, or trust his instincts and continue on his own path?Karube took a long drag of his cigarette, exhaling the smoke slowly as he leaned against the bar. He had only been at this beach place for a few hours and he’d already found his way to the bar, leaving Usagi, Arisu and Chota to explore the place themselves while making his way into the club inside the resort.
Lost in thought, Karube was startled by a tap on the shoulder. He turned to see a tall, muscular man with buzzed black hair and piercing dark eyes. The man had a scar running down his right eye, a memento from their encounter during the tag game. Beside him stood a woman with sharp eyes, looking straight at him with a small smirk, her figure fitted in a tight, black bodysuit, strapped with a knife on one side and a gun on the other.
"Karube, isn't it?" the man asked, his deep voice cutting through the pulsing beat of the music. "I'm Aguni, and this is my companion. We met during the game, remember?"
Karube nodded slowly, his eyes narrowing as he took in their appearances. "I remember."
Aguni nodded, glancing back at the woman and letting her speak, taking a small step back. "We have a proposition for you. Aguni here thinks you have potential. Maybe you could be a member of the militants? Your rank would be much higher than it is now and I think we could get Niragi and Last Boss to agree with our decision."
Karube smirked, taking another drag of his cigarette. "Is that so? And why me, specifically?"
Aguni spoke up, his arms crossed over his chest as he looked from the woman to Karube. "Because you're not like the others, Karube. I think you'd do well with us."
Karube raised an eyebrow, taking another long drag of his cigarette as he considered Aguni's words. He exhaled slowly, the smoke curling around his head in the dim light of the bar. "Well, I gotta admit, that's a tempting offer... but I'm not sure I'm interested in being someone's pawn, even if it means a higher rank."
He looked from Aguni to the woman beside him, his gaze lingering for a moment too long. He had a feeling she wasn't just a 'friend' of Aguni's. There was something more to her, something he couldn't quite put his finger on. "And I'm not sure I need a higher rank to have a good time here," Karube added, smirking slightly as his eyes drifted around the club, landing on the long couch in the corner of the dimmed room where people were practically on top of one another before looking back at them. "I've been managing just fine on my own."
He puts his cigarette out in the tray on the bar, his hand drifting to the chained necklace at his throat, fingers tracing over the cool metal. "Tell you what, I'll think about it," Karube said finally, his eyes glinting with a hint of mischief and lingering on the woman again. "But for now, how about you two join me for a drink?"
Before Aguni could speak, the woman interrupted, taking a step towards the bar and looking up at Karube, mirroring his expression. "Aguni doesn't drink... but I do."
Karube chuckled, a deep, rich sound that seemed to reverberate through the dimly lit room. He glanced at her, his eyes glinting with amusement as he gestured to the empty barstools beside him. "Well, in that case... have a seat."
He said, his voice a low rumble, glancing up at Aguni who scoffs at her actions and walks to the exit of the club, seemingly not surprised by them. "Looks like it's just going to be you and me then."
Karube speaks when Aguni is too far to hear, looking back at the woman who had already ordered a drink and chuckled at his statement.
