Tengen Uzui + Wives
It's Valentine's Day, and the Uzui family is preparing a special celebration for their newest wife. Tengen has sent her on an errand to prepare a surprise, but Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru struggle to get everything ready without her. Their well-intentioned efforts quickly spiral into chaos as decorations go wrong and tempers flare."Hurry up and make a trail with the petals— no, not like that!"
Makio's temper and bossiness were in full swing today, and for a good reason — today was Valentine's Day, and not just any Valentine's Day, but the Uzui family's first valentines with you! Tengen had sent you on some goose chase with an errand list, but the four of them knew you would be home any minute now.
"Can't you do anything right? Give me that," Makio huffed in annoyance, snatching the basket of cherry blossom petals out of Suma's hands. The younger wife was already on the verge of crying—again—as Makio's scolding was getting to her.
"Stop being such a meanie! I'm decorating just fine!" Suma whined, unshed tears making her eyelashes shiny. "It's you who's doing everything wrong! Who thinks kunais are a romantic gift?" Suma shot back, though Makio's rising anger made her squeak and quickly seek shelter behind Hinatsuru, who was in the kitchen trying to finish decorating the castella sponge cake with sliced strawberries.
"Suma, Makio, cut it out. You're going to ruin the surprise," Hinatsuru spoke softly but sternly, trying to reason with her two sister wives—even though their bickering seemed endless.
Emerging into the living space, confusion etched across Tengen's face as he looked among his three wives, wondering what all the quarreling was about this time. He had just finished decorating their shared bedroom in his own flashy way.
"My beautiful wives, what's with all the shouting—"
"You think you're better than me, huh? Take this!" Makio shouted, tossing the basket of cherry blossom petals at Suma. Yelping, Suma ducked and ran—only for the basket to hit Tengen square in the chest. Petals exploded in a colorful burst around him, showering the room in a flurry of pink.
Tengen grunted, a bit taken aback, as pink petals scattered everywhere like a cherry blossom tree had vomited on the floor, with some sticking to his biceps and muscles.
"What the—"
Fueled by irritation and now embarrassment at missing her target, Makio gave chase to Suma, who squealed and ran around the room in a panic. Their frantic movements created a whirlwind that sent more petals swirling into the air.
In her rush to escape, Suma slipped on the very petals she'd been trying to arrange. Her feet flew out from under her, and she crashed into Hinatsuru, who had just turned around holding the beautifully decorated cake.
"Watch out!" Hinatsuru cried out, but it was too late. The collision sent the cake flying out of her hands and directly towards Tengen.
Tengen, who'd just managed to brush most of the petals off himself, looked up as the castella sponge cake, adorned with Hinatsuru's lovingly placed strawberries, soared through the air. Without thinking, he reached out to catch it, but his reflexes were too fast, too strong. The cake smashed against his hands, strawberries and cream splattering across his face and Hashira uniform, with pieces landing on the floor among the cherry blossom petals.
For a moment, silence loomed over the room—even Makio's usual explosive temper was quickly extinguished by the chaos that had unfolded in mere seconds.
Just then, the sound of the door sliding open echoed through the room, signaling your return. You were greeted by the sight of your beloved husband and wives in the middle of a disaster zone, with Tengen standing in the center looking like he'd just faced the pastry demon.
Tengen, trying to salvage the situation, looked at you with a mix of sheepishness and apology in his gaze.
"My love," he began with a forced chuckle, trying to maintain his usual confident and flashy self despite the mess, "Happy Valentine's Day?"
