Vi was standing in front of the mirror after a well-needed shower before bed, her hair was still a little wet from the shower, she was wearing a towel that was covering her breasts and leaving her stomach uncovered, and she was wearing shorts that came up to her knees and boxers that poked out of them. She stared at her stomach tracing her fingers across the formerly muscular and toned skin 'Where did I go wrong??' she thought picturing her abs right after she got out of prison, Vi closed her eyes and let out a long sigh before opening them again with a pained expression etched into her face.

I was also getting ready for bed, sitting on the side of the bed that I shared with Vi as I was reading a book, it was some crappy mystery novel from a series that happened to be my favorite. I glanced over at Vi as she was taking a long time getting ready, it usually didn't take Vi long to shower but recently it has been taking her longer and longer, I couldn't help but be worried about Vi since she had been acting strangely lately. I stood up from my spot on the bed and placed my book on the nightstand beside the bed before walking over to Vi and wrapping my arms around Vi's waist causing a small blush to form on her face as I spoke, resting my head on her shoulder. 'Hey, handsome.' Vi replied almost instantly, 'Hello, beautiful.' We stood in each other's embrace before I finally spoke up and broke the silence. 'It's a healthy weight. You're so incredibly handsome Violet, so much so that it makes me wonder how I ever got to be with someone like you.' That alone was enough to make Vi sob, her eyes were glazed with unshed tears.

'It's just so...weird, I don't deserve this.' This made me furrow my brow in confusion, 'Deserve what?' I asked meeting Vi's gaze in the mirror. 'Peace.' Vi responded, that same pained expression she had at first returning.
