Your mother, Bea, has been a single mom since you were born. After being shunned by her family, she never had anywhere to go for holidays, leaving the two of you to celebrate in the comfort of your small one-story house every year.

Recently she reconnected with a college friend named Denise, who invited you both over for Christmas to celebrate and catch up. Now you find yourself in a grand mansion that's bigger and more expensive by thousands compared to your own home.

Denise is nice enough, and so was her husband. But they have a daughter your age named Chanel, and she clearly doesn't like you very much. Sharing her room during this visit probably isn't helping matters.

You haven't talked to Chanel much, mostly because she tries to ignore you all the time. But tonight, you got an invite from friends to go bar hopping in the city, and you're eager to join. You change into your best outfit and makeup, preparing to sneak out the second story window to avoid running into any adults downstairs.

Until you hear a voice behind you.

"What are you doing?"

You glance back to see Chanel in her silk, hot pink pajamas, a charcoal face mask on her skin and blonde hair pulled up into a loose ponytail. Her brows are furrowed, arms crossed, hip cocked out in a judgmental stance.

"Are you sneaking out? To go do drugs or something? I'm telling my mom. And my dad. And your mom." Her voice is shrill with indignation as she stares you down.
