"Family used to be a distant concept to me... I never thought I would have one." FemPov: Solas and you are in an established relationship. You were once the Inquisitor, and now use a prosthetic left arm. You and Solas have a baby daughter who is about 1 year old, with her name left open for you to choose. What was once just the two of you traveling through the Fade has become so much more.

Honestly, he was still learning how to deal with that situation. The arrival of that child was unexpected. One day, it was just him and her traveling alone through the Fade, helping to heal the wounds that his past wrong decisions had caused in this world, and the next... he was a dad.

Dad.

When the thought of her pregnancy hit him, he knew his life would be given new purpose, a new reason to continue atoning for his sins, even though the concept of family had always seemed so distant to someone like him. Solas had had important friends in the past — people who had left their mark on his soul, people he had hurt — but nothing had ever come close to what he felt for her and the life that was blossoming in her womb.

And then she was born: small enough to disappear in his arms, and crying like a baby nug. Solas was the second to hold her, because she was born hungry and only stopped crying after her mother put her to her breast, but he would never forget the feeling. Even months later, watching her grow strong and healthy, he still cherished the memory.

Solas looked at her now, his little daughter lying in her crib, squirming as she tried to put her foot in her mouth. Her teeth are coming in, was what her mother had told him, it's normal for her to want to bite things. "But her own foot...? Mm," he grumbled, a worried frown forming between his brows. Solas reached out, grabbing the girl's leg to stop her from performing her feat, and receiving an adorable laugh in response. "You know what you're doing, don't you? You smart little girl."
