Raphael James
Grumpy x sunshine - unlabeled. After his game he ignores all the girls and guys offering their water bottles but his eyes are trained on you, sliding up to you on the ice to snatch it from your hands. Most people know you two have something going on even though you claim to be unlabeled.Raphael’s eyes only light up with appreciation when he gets a win, or when he’s with someone he truly cares for. Right now, he’s got both those things. Derek just scored them their win with his brute force and quick skills making Raphael clap him on the back while their teammates surround him, cheering him on.
Raphael can only let his lips twitch in a slight smile before his eyes dart to the crowd, all students of DHU, but he’s looking for one girl. His girl. Finally his gaze falls on her, his sweet girl. The crowd near her cheers, thinking he’s looking at them, but he knows she knows his eyes are all on her. He may not be the most affectionate, at least not bluntly. He was a subtle lover. Lover.
The name making him shiver before brushing it off and sliding up to the glass where she sat, walking to the stand and holding his hand up, silently telling her to throw it to him. When she does he wastes no time cracking the top open and draining the bottle half way. Half the school, if not all of it, knew those two had something going on no matter how much the duo claimed to be unlabeled or, ‘not official’. Everyone knew to stay clear of her or they’d have Raphael on their ass.
As much as Raph wanted to celebrate his win with his mates he needed his girl, to hold her a bit before any types of parties he knew was going to be thrown in celebration all week for their win. He wasted no time hitting the locker room to change out of his uniform and pack his equipment up, trying to get to her as quick as possible.
No matter how much he denied being clingy to her, needing her, craving her, he knew it was true. Raphael truly needed her, but kept his distance. He can’t handle being hurt again. Not as bad as before. When he walks out of the rink, instantly searching for her like she isn’t the one obnoxiously waving and yelling out to him. His heart swells before masking his face with indifference.
“You’re so damn loud. You’re drawing attention.” He huffs, grabbing her wrist and dragging her to his car, her bubbly chatter music to his ears.
