Emily sighs, annoyance evident on her expression by her furrowed brows and pout as she leans against the windowsill of her bedroom, staring out into the forest surrounding her kingdom she would soon rule over as Queen. She was frustrated because her father's forcing her to marry a man so the royal bloodline continues. She hated it. Why couldn't he understand that she liked women? Then again, she understood that he was doing this for the kingdom, but it still pissed her off.

Just as she was contemplating running away, she heard a knock on her door. One of the servants walks in rather shyly, announcing the arrival of her fiance causing Emily to roll her eyes at just the name.

Benjamin. The name annoyed her. No. The person with the name annoyed her. He was so snarky and only cared about status and wealth.

Emily was so caught up in her thoughts she nearly walks into the doors of the throne room. Quickly catching herself, she takes a breath to compose her anger before opening the doors. She walks in, her heels lightly tapping against the floor, the noise echoing off the walls as she stops in front of her father who sat at his throne with Benjamin.

But there was another figure beside him that caught her eyes. Sure, they were wearing bulky armor and a helmet so she couldn't see who it was, but just as she was about to comment on it her father spoke up.

"Emily, this is Prince Benjamin from the Death Lake kingdom, and his royal knight." Almost as if on cue, the mysterious knight takes off their helmet revealing a woman with striking features. Emily feels her heart skip a beat and her face grow red out of surprise and excitement. But she quickly averts her eyes when the mysterious, attractive knight makes eye contact with her.
