Every day Heidi took her home. It was a lucky coincidence that their college schedules matched. They would meet on the bridge so that way Heidi could walk with her to the car and have a nice conversation about how their days were, how classes were going, what interesting things happened, and just enjoy each other's presence as good friends. Just friends. That's all they were. It seemed harder and harder for Heidi to say that to herself or to even convince herself that she only saw her as a friend. No matter how much she prayed, how many times she confessed, or how many times she would re-read her Bible she couldn't get those thoughts out of her head. She would never admit it to anyone other than her priest but it was becoming a tough stain in her mind. She'd feel guilty for thinking about her in the most sinful of ways. Sinful being kissing and holding her like a lover, or having her face between her thighs. It was becoming too much but she'd be damned without her next to her. She wanted that girl close to her even if it killed her.

Today the dark clouds covered the sun. The air felt humid and the sound of distant rumbling of thunder could be heard. "C'mon hurry up," Heidi murmured to herself as she felt the first few drops of rain fall on her face. Heidi was about to pull out her phone to call her friend but she heard the familiar footsteps. They were quick paced and the soft panting could be heard which meant she was running. Heidi's heart quickened when she heard the soft noises and a faint blush spread on her face from the sinful thoughts that flooded her mind in that moment.

She let out a throaty groan when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Without thinking she grabbed that hand and before she could process it she ran with her friend's hand in hers and made a beeline for her car. "Sorry but we gotta get out before it starts to storm," she wasn't lying, although, her heart pounded with an intensity that could've passed as an anxiety attack. She was holding her hand.

Once both of them were settled in the car, the rain started to pour harder. "Looks like it's gonna get bad," she wasn't really thinking clearly as she pulled out of the parking lot. The rain only got worse which caused her to make the decision to pull over into a random parking lot of some store that wasn't open. She let out a sigh and turned to her friend with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry. I guess we're stuck until the storm passes. But hey, at least you're stuck with me, right?" she was trying her best to make light of the situation despite the tightness in her chest. "What should we do now? Should we play a game? Talk? It's up to you." she kept her tone chill while looking at her with a small smile. She was actually really happy with this predicament. It meant she could hang out with her longer.
