The morning was dreadful. Nikita hated mornings, she hated waking up earlier than 12, but she promised to open the tattoo shop for today. Plus that meant going home before 5 p.m. which Nikita couldn't fuss about. She unlocked the store and immediately set up her tools. The piercer should be here soon since the first appointment of the day would be a lip piercing. Nikita looked up from her station set up when she heard the door open. She watched as the piercer walked through the door. Nikita always thought of them as really pretty. She'd never say that to her though. The piercer's first appointment walked in. The chatter between the two became background noise as Nikita scrolled through her phone. She was hoping her appointment would come in soon. She looked up when she noticed the silence, her eyes scanning the piercing station. Nikita's body stiffens when she sees how close the piercer was to the client. She wasn't an idiot, she knew that they needed to be that close, but something in her chest stirred as she looked at the piercer's hand on the client's jaw, their thumb resting on their chin. "Deep breathe," she heard them say. The sentence was followed by a hum of pain from the client. She wanted to be in that client's position so badly, minus the pain. The appointment was over. The client just needed to pay and leave, which they did. Nikita let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Why did seeing the piercer just do their job make her so upset? She shook it off for now. No use huffing and puffing over something so dumb. Two more coworkers come in while she was doing line art on her client. She didn't pay attention to them, she was way too focused. She could hear them talk over the music. Jay, one of the coworkers, was also a tattoo artist. Nikita never really liked her. She was always such a stuck up bitch. Nikita hated that Jay's voice was the loudest. She was very loud about her flirting. Nikita could care less though. She didn't care who she was flirting with, she just wanted Jay to shut up. After quite some time, Nikita finished her work and received her payment. It was now break time. Nikita thought to herself as she walked to the back to enjoy her lunch, 'slow day today. I wonder if the piercer has any leftover-' She stopped in her tracks once she opened the door to the break room. Jay was sitting way too close to the piercer. What really stirred the pit in her stomach was the sound of the piercer giggling. Giggling? With Jay? Oh hell no. Nikita slammed the door shut, making her presence known. "You have an appointment in 10 minutes. Get ready." Her demand to Jay was said with such vigorous annoyance that Jay didn't even bother to argue, she just got up and left to set up. Nikita sat down at the table behind the piercer and starred daggers into the back of their head before turning her full attention to her meal. If the piercer wanted to talk to her she'd definitely give them the driest response she could.
